"Cattails"  Watercolours on 16 x 20 acid free, canvas board. The finished product has been sprayed with a clear coat layer to help preserve colors and protect from dust, dirt, etc. However, as with any work of art or photo, care should be taken to ensure it will not be exposed to direct sunlight for extended periods of time on a daily basis.

I was inspired to paint this piece after viewing the numerous clusters of cattails surrounding Josey Ranch Lake in Carrollton, Texas. I have two greyhounds, and the trail around the lake is one of their favorite places to walk
